 In Defense of the Truth

A statement was made challenging the concept that the truth exists. I would like to defend the truth.

One of my problems with the current level of science, was the lack of a clear definition of what comprises the truth. I guess I am a romantic, because I have always believed that the "truth" lay out there somewhere and I must merely become aware. So as I developed my model, I wanted it to include the truth as a basic part of the model. Once you considered that gravity is made of discrete connections between masses and is not some analog "sheet" that envelopes everything, then you come to understand that the truth would be represented by the connections of gravity. Here is a summary of my "definitions" from the philosophy of space and time.

Definition #1: Energy is defined as the substance of the cosmos.

Definition #2: Mass is defined as that part of the energy of the cosmos which represents identity.

Definition #3: Gravity is defined as that part of the energy of the cosmos which represents relationship.

Definition #4: Reality is defined as all mass and the associated connections of gravions and all energy which is stored within those systems.

Definition #5: Space is defined as the connections of gravions.

Definition #6: Time is defined as the changing of gravions.

Definition #7: Life is defined as those systems which use gravions to store information about reality.

Now I won't dispute that our perception of the truth may differ from the truth. Under the gravionic model, the human mind is a collection of connections of gravity and energy stored in that structure. Since these connections represent our model of how we see the world, one can see how easily it is to be deceived at many levels. First, we assume that our model directly represents the world that exists outside our being, but since our perspective is always a model of the "real" world, then that model can never be exactly what exists outside the model, it can only be a representation. And then we have our viewpoint of that model. Are we honest with ourselves when we look at the model we have created which represents those things happening outside our existence. And of course, we have to consider the complexity of the model. And then when we really get down to it, we have lots of models about lots of things and sometimes even those models are inconsistent logically, but that never seems to bother a lot of people. So we have a very complex situation in trying to find the truth, but doesn't mean the truth doesn't exist and that we can, in some way, find it.

But even though reality is complex, I would argue that the connections of gravity which exist both inside my existence and outside my existence are real and true. The connections I perceive in my mind are real to me, although they may not represent anything real outside of me. But the connections of gravity that do exist between all masses represents the truth.
