These are some of the kids that spelled "rose" in the rose garden. This rose garden was formed in the early 1950's because Los Alamos didn't yet have a cemetery. When someone died that lived in Los Alamos, their body was transported to another location for burial. My own son Aaron died about the same time as the fire that swept through Los Alamos last year. Since Aaron was cremated, he also has no burial spot. I have placed some of his ashes around the rose bushes, so that Aaron may live on through these beautiful roses. Next, find a tour of Los Alamos that I made for my daughter Molly.

LA Music is right behind these kids

One of the old Indian trails that exist everywhere around LA

Here is a shot looking out across the "hilltops" to the Sangre De Cristo Mountain range.

This was taken from near the tip of Dear Trap Mesa, looking back across LA and the ski area is visible in the background on the mountain.

This is the view from the northern edge of town looking North.

Here is my little friend that visits me almost every night. "He" is a ringtail cat, although he isn't a cat, but is related to a raccoon.

This is the swimming pool.

These are some of the old growth Douglas Fir trees one can find up on the Gaje trail, which takes off from near the Ski Area. There are also old spruce and Aspen.

This is a beautiful meadow, looking back towards LA.

This view looks across the burned area (Cerro Grande Fire of 2000) with the city and Lab showing over the trees.

Here is a sunset that I took while trying to capture a Raven flying through the sunset. Each night, the Ravens make their trip to their "camping ground" somewhere up on the mountain. I like to sit here at sunset and watch them fly over.
