A Little White Lie

3029.GIF (8656 bytes)

A little white lie,

What can it hurt?

When all that is true

Is covered in dirt?

The connections of gravity,

The connections of man.

Depend on the truth,

When one takes a stand.

Lie to me now,

Lie to me later?

Tell me the truth,

I'm not a hater.

Dependable in small things,

Dependable in large?

Now and forever,

Into the future we charge.

When can I trust you?

When can I not?

If Jesus is love,

Then what have you got?

Trust is a big thing,

And takes years to earn.

But truth is so fragile,

It easily will burn.

If love is your mission,

And love you would have.

Then tell me the truth,

For it makes a good salve.
